Skilled Workers

You may apply to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) under the Skilled Workers category if you have an offer of permanent full-time employment in Saskatchewan:
  1. As a skilled worker or professional; or
  2. In a management position; or
  3. Have worked in Saskatchewan for a minimum of six months on a temporary work permit.

1. Skilled Workers/Professionals Sub-Category:
This sub-category is for applicants who are interested in living and working in Saskatchewan and who have a confirmed offer of permanent full-time employment with a Saskatchewan employer in an occupation that falls into the NOC Matrix code level of A or B or in an apprentice-able trade in Saskatchewan. The National Occupational Classification code levels “A” and “B” can be found on the NOC matrix.

2. Critical Occupations:
To be eligible in this sub-category you must:

  • Have a confirmed permanent full-time offer of employment for a position that has been approved by the SINP as a critical occupations position;
  • Be applying for a management position that falls into the NOC Matrix level “0”; and
  • Score a minimum of 35 points on the self-assessment form.
3. Existing Work Permit:
To be eligible in this sub-category you must:
  • Have a confirmed permanent full-time offer of employment with your existing Saskatchewan employer;
  • Have worked for the employer under a Temporary Work Permit issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for more than six months, which has been supported by a Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) labour market confirmation or a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) exemption; and
  • Be applying in an occupation or trade that falls into the NOC Matrix level “O” or “A” or “B” or is an apprenticeship-able trade in Saskatchewan.
