WHO
IS ELIGIBLE?
Health professional applicants are individuals whose
education and professional certification qualify them
for employment in Saskatchewan in a Designated Health
Profession.
DESIGNATED HEALTH PROFESSIONS
The SINP works in co-operation with Saskatchewan health
employers, professional associations, Saskatchewan
Health, and other health stakeholders, to identify
Designated Health Professions as occupations experiencing
a sustained occupational shortage that cannot be met
through domestic recruitment, education or training.
Currently, physicians and nurses are the only “Designated Health Professions” under the SINP. Further professions are under review in consultation with health sector stakeholders. Watch this site for additional health professions to be added as “Designated Health Professions.”
